Olubunmi joined our Mental Health Team as a paralegal in August 2023. She has genuine interest in in mental health law which she has pursued after completing a law degree at the University of Surrey.
Career
Her previous experience working as an intern and paralegal at another Mental Health Law firm have greatly assisted her in her work at Appleman Legal.
She assists in the firm by visiting clients, drafting letters, submitting applications, perusing reports, and representing clients at meetings among other things. Her strong passion for helping those who are often unable to state their concerns by themselves makes her an excellent advocate in Mental Health Law and it is an area she thoroughly enjoys working in.
Her court room experience has greatly helped with her drive for advocacy with her clients, with taking part in mock trials at her university. In April 2023, she took part in the finals of a mooting competition which took place at the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom in which the moot was held in front of Lord Kitchin. She ranked in the top 4 students among 84.
